Microcurrent Facial Sculpting is a safe, effective, non-invasive, and non-surgical facial sculpting treatment. It can lift, sculpt, and tighten any part of your face. By toning the muscles under the skin, the program works from the inside out. They change the appearance of the face in a totally natural way, without causing unwanted side effects.
The program uses the micro-current with electrical energy to stimulate and strengthen the muscle tissue under the skin. When these important muscles get the stimulation that they really need, the face becomes firm, toned and more youthful-looking. Microcurrent also increases muscle volume, thereby giving the face a smoother, plumper look.
Toned facial muscles support the epidermis (the uppermost layer of skin) and boost the blood circulation, providing the foundation for a more vibrant looking face. It can even lighten acne scaring or rosacea.
Microcurrent offers an alternative to surgery. They have become one of the most sought-after treatments for sagging skin or a dull complexion, and may be especially effective for getting rid of superficial lines and wrinkles. If you are experiencing signs of premature aging, you can effectively get rid of wrinkles, dark patches and other skin problems with the electrical stimulation technology.
Microcurrent facelift procedures and skin treatments are designed for aging skin, but can also be used on younger skin to slow down the aging process. Key benefits of this treatment include:
- Diminished appearance of fine lines, creases and wrinkles
- Clearing of Acne or Rosacea
- Reduction of sagging jowls and chin
- Visibly firms and tones skin
- Reduction of noticeable scars and pigment discoloration
- Improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
- Rejuvenates the “Pink Glow” of youthful hues
- Hydrates and revitalizes skin for a softer and smoother feel
All About Microcurrent And Its Use
History: In 1830, Dr. Carlos Matteucci discovered that injured tissue in the human body discharged electricity and since that discovery, over 120 years ago, many experiments with microcurrent have been done to validate his findings. The use of microcurrent has become an acceptable form of therapy in the treatment of wounds, soft tissue and bone fracture because of its ability to heal the body at a rate of 250% to 350% faster than someone not using microcurrent therapy. However, it was the accidental discovery of a physician treating Bell’s palsy patients for paralysis that lead microcurrent to become integrated into the aesthetic field. He noticed that the face of his patients were smoother and they appeared much younger looking after treatments.
Q. What is microcurrent?
Microcurrent, meaning mild electrical current, is a near duplicate electrical current to that which your body generates on its own. It is so slight that it would take one million microcurrent machines to light a 40 watt light bulb and therefore generally sub-sensory. It was discovered that an injured or damaged tissue in your body, disrupts the natural flow of electricity generated by it. Therefore, preventing or delaying your body from healing itself. When microcurrent is applied to the injured or damaged area it restores the natural flow of electrical current and therefore the healing can begin.
Q. How does it apply to asthetics?
If you have skin with fine lines or wrinkles, sagging muscles or lost elasticity, this is simply damaged skin. Microcurrent has the ability to restore the lost energy to your tissues and thereby turning back the hands of time in your skin. When you get a microcurrent facial, the facial muscles and your skin are being giving a workout that stimulates collagen and elastin production. Collagen and elastin are two essential proteins needed for the skin to remain youthful and glowing. A microcurrent facial is in essence a non-surgical facelift that will leave your skin looking amazing.
Q. Why is it called Facial Sculpting?
We actually “sculpt” the face by placing the probes in specific positions and directing them in a certain way to achieve specific results. The treatment literally lifts, smoothes, and tightens before your eyes.
Q. How many sessions are recommended for the full treatment and how often?
Most clients need 10 treatments to achieve a full “facelift” makeover. Clients with greater aging effects such as severe neck sagging, deep creases, or distinguished “crow’s feet” at the brow, may need up to 15 sessions. Clients need a minimum of 2 sessions their first week, then one per week thereafter until treatment is complete. Those who are on a short timeline (preparing for a wedding, accepting an award, etc.) may be treated twice per week in order to complete their treatment quicker. After your 10 sessions, your look is maintained by receiving booster treatments every 4-6 weeks.
Q. How long do the treatment sessions last?
Allow about an hour and fifteen minutes for your initial appointment, and an hour for all subsequent appointments. Booster treatments are generally only 30-40 minutes.
Q. How long should I expect the results to last?
You cosmetic investment is preserved as long as you are receiving booster treatments every 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment span. If you stop booster treatments, you risk losing the muscle memory after about 6 months and will have to start a new treatment span again to regain the original youthful look.
Q. Who is NOT a candidate for Microcurrent?
If you are pregnant,
Have had heart surgery in the past year
Have a pacemaker or have epilepsy.
Q. So how much would I expect to pay for this procedure?
Most of aesthetic professionals are charging $125-$199 per treatment session, but treatment packages are available which reduce these costs. We offer $999 for 10 sessions of “full lift”.
